About 'Birth Can Move'

Leah Stewart founder of LiveLife Pilates will be offering her "Birth Can Move" classes designed for anyone interested in the transitioning body throughout the birth process. The course is a unique, 6-part birth preparation class, designed for expecting mothers and their partners, that emphasizes the positive impact that gentle and effective movement, breath, imagery and various body positions can have on the labor and birth experience. The class includes detailed explanations of the anatomy and physiological processes of labor and birth, a variety of exercises on the mat, ball and chair that can be used to prepare for labor and movements that can be used during labor and relaxation and empowering techniques such as breathing patterns and imagery that can be used during labor. The class will also include discussions about mental preparation for labor and will provide cues and ideas for a woman's birthing partner to use during labor.
